Some bikes arrive, make a huge noise, wear pointy plastics, scare a few knees into wobbling, then vanish. The Suzuki SV650 did the opposite. It turned up in 1999, did the simple things brilliantly, and somehow became the bike everyone recommends when a rider says, “I’ve passed my test. What now?”
