Service Description

For more than 20 years the Metropolitan Police ran the excellent Bikesafe workshop. This was a one day road safety course containg theory and practical elements designed to improve your riding technique and thereby increase road safety. The course was managed by Metropolitan Police officers who would use their skills to observe your ride and feedback on areas to improve and then prepare you for advanced riding courses. The Metropolitan Police announced at the end of last year they would be stopping the Bikesafe programme in London. We were dismayed at this as there are currently no other initiatives in London, the largest concentration of motorcycles in the UK, to improve your technique and safety. As soon as this was announced we were determined to see if we could bring it back and after lots of work i the background we can now unveil our Ridesafe London project. Ridesafe London will be completed just as Bikesafe was and the courses will be delivered by two of the original Metropolitan Police Bikesafe team! We are working to expand our panel of partners as you read this and we hope you enjoy the workshop. Rise Safe Londoners! Requirements: You must have your own motorcycle which must be in a road legal condition. You must wear appropriate motorcycle safety kit. At present Ridesafe is only available to those with an A2 or A licence.
